As is tradition during the Christmas holidays, a delicious lasagna is a must. Why not create one that combines tradition with a bit of creativity?

In a bowl, mix the béchamel sauce with the porcini mushroom pâté or mushroom sauce.

Partially cook the mixed frozen mushrooms in a small saucepan. (You can add any leftover cooking liquid to the béchamel mixture.)

Cut the smoked scamorza cheese into cubes.

In a baking dish, spread a layer of béchamel sauce, then a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by another layer of béchamel sauce.

Make sure to cover the corners with béchamel to prevent the noodles from burning.

Add a layer of scamorza cheese, mushrooms, and bacon.

Add another layer of noodles, then béchamel, and continue layering with the other ingredients.

Continue layering until you reach the desired number of layers.

Finish with a layer of béchamel, scamorza cheese, grated cheese, and mushrooms.

Bake in a preheated oven (conventional, not convection) at 400°F (200°C) for 40 minutes.
