Daal Dhokli (Famous Gujrati Dish)

Wash daal 2 or 3 times with water & cook in a pressure cooker add turmeric,salt & water for 2 whistle in medium flame.

Meanwhile prepare dough which we called dhokli.

Take 1 bowl add wheat flour then add salt, red chilli powder & turmeric powder & 1 spoon oil then mix well & make a dough.

After 2 whistle daal is ready for frying so open the cooker.

Heat the vok when it's heated add oil in it then add cumin seeds,mustard seeds & chopped garlic & asafoetida saute for a minute.

Add 2 red dry chillies & curry leaves then add chopped 1 tomato & cook well.

Now add cooked daal in vok mix well add salt as per taste in low flame.

Meanwhile take 2 portion of dough on a flat surface make chappati not very thin or very thick it's kind of medium then take knife & cut diamond shape.

When daal is boiling add diamond shape dhokli in it.

In low flame cook atleast 10 to 15 minutes till dhokli get soft.

Add lemon juice & fresh chopped coriander leaves then add sugar or jaggery.

Mix well & serve hot.
