Marinate the chicken with salt and turmeric. Set aside.

Heat oil in a deep pan and add the whole garam masala spices.

Add the ginger and garlic paste. Sauté well.

Add the fried onions and cook until well browned.

Add the tomato puree and almond paste. Sauté thoroughly.

Add the chicken and mix well. Sauté until the chicken is browned.

Cook on low heat until the chicken is tender.

Once the chicken is soft, add sugar and garam masala powder. Mix well.
