Ingredients

  1. 150 gramspaneer (cottage cheese)
  2. 1 cupbesan (gram flour)
  3. 1 pinchturmeric powder (haldi)
  4. 2 pinchred chilli powder
  5. 1 pinchasafoetida
  6. 2 pinchgaram masala powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonajwain seeds
  8. 3/4 cupwater or as required
  9. To tastesalt
  10. As neededmustard oil for deep frying
  11. to tastechaat masala for sprinkling
  12. 1 bowlThick Mint chutney

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients, except paneer and oil.

    Make a smooth lump free thick flowing batter.

  3. 3

    Cut the paneer into fingers

  4. 4

    Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai

  5. 5

    Marinate Paneer fingers in mint chutney for 15 minutes

  6. 6

    Dip each paneer cube in the batter and coat with the batter.

  7. 7

    Gently drop the batter coated paneer cubes into medium hot oil.

  8. 8

    Deep fry the paneer fingers till crisp and golden.

  9. 9

    Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  10. 10

    Cut slanting and serve hot.

  11. 11

    Can garnish with some ketchup or sprinkle lightly with some chaat masala.
