
Standard White's Loaf
Steps

Put everything except the margarine in the mixer.

Knead for 6 minutes then add the margarine and continue to knead till done.

Divide dough into 2 equal rounded portions and leave to rest for 15 minutes.

Form into a flat oval, fold each long edge in, then fold again in half. Seal the seams and roll into 30cm logs.

Grease the 9" Pullman loaf tin and the lid.

Fold each log in half and place side by side into the loaf tin.

Leave to rise until 2 cm below rim of the tin.

Preheat oven to 200°c.

Put lid on and bake for 20 minutes, then increase to 220°c for 20 minutes.
