Boiled apple with walnuts
I made this one for the first time long ago, but I like making it everytime I have apples. 😊
Steps
- 1
Peal the apple, carefully cut the centre of it and remove it. The hole should be big enough so you can fill it in later. Also, the hole should go through the whole apple.
- 2
Pour water in a pot, add lemon juice and vanilla extract, mix it and put the apple inside. The water should reach the half of the apple. Bring this to boil, it takes about 15 minutes depending on the apple. The apple should be soft enough so you can break it with a spoon.
- 3
While the apple is boiling, turn it upside down few times so it can boil equally on top and bottom. When it's cooked, remove the apple from the water and let it cool while you're preparing the filling.
- 4
Cut walnuts into chunks, add cinnamon, ginger powder, 1 tsp of honey and mix. Add about 2 tbsp of water where the apple was boiled and mix.
- 5
Pour the filling inside the apple and press it with a teaspoon, repeat this until completely filled. Pour 1 tsp of honey on top of the apple. The honey will melt and cover the whole apple.
- 6
Eat while it's warm. Also, you can drink the water where the apple was boiled, it's healthy. Enjoy! ❤️

P.S. You can add more honey if you like sweeter taste, I don't eat very sweet things so this amount of honey is perfect for me. 😊
