Ingredients

2 people
  1. 2large white fish fillets (I used whiting you can also use cod, seabass or bream)
  2. 6shallots
  3. 2long red peppers
  4. 1thumb size ginger piece
  5. 2 clovesgarlic
  6. 1red chilli
  7. 1 tspnigella seeds
  8. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  9. 1 tbspchilli powder
  10. 1 tspturmeric
  11. 1 tspground nut or sesame oil
  12. 200 mlcoconut milk
  13. 1 canchopped tin tomatoes

  1. 1

    Finely chop the the shallots, peppers, chilli, garlic and ginger

    In a hot pan toast the nigella and cumin seeds in the hot oil until they start to pop

    Turn the heat down to medium and add the chopped vegetables. Sauté for 5mins

    Make a paste by mixing the chilli powder and turmeric with a dash of water

    Stir in the paste

    Now stir in fish (cut in chunks). Mix in the tomatoes and coconut milk and simmer for 20mins to reduce.

    Serve with a chapatti, saag paneer and some chutney 😋
