Wash the chicken, remove the skin, and cut it into medium pieces.

Wash and cut the vegetables into medium-sized cubes.

Grease the tagine dish with 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil. Layer the tomatoes, then onions, then potatoes, then green bell peppers, and then the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Repeat the layers until the tagine is full. Arrange tomato slices on top to cover the vegetables and chicken nicely, then sprinkle with more black pepper, salt, and the remaining tablespoon of oil.

Cover the tagine with its lid or aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 45 minutes.

Serve hot with white rice and bread. Enjoy!
