Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 11/4 cup water
  3. 1/4 cuppeas (matar)
  4. 1/2 cupsliced mushroom
  5. 2 tbsp ghee
  6. 1 tspcumin seeds
  7. 1bay leaf
  8. as neededWhole spices (cinnamon, clove, mace, black cardamom, green cardamom, black pepper corns)
  9. To taste Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Now in a pressure cooker heat ghee, add cumin seeds, bay leaf and whole spices saute until aromatic.

  3. 3

    Now add sliced mushroom and sauté for 2 mins in high flame. Then add peas saute for one minute more.

  4. 4

    Now add soaked rice, salt and saute for 1 minute, then add water mix well and cover it. Cook for high flame until one whistle. After that cook it on low flame for 2 minutes. Now matar mushroom pulao is ready to serve.
