Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 cupsmacaroni pasta
  2. I jar pasta sauce (your choice)
  3. 1 packGround Italian sausage (mild or hot)
  4. 1Red Pepper
  5. 1Green pepper
  6. 1Yellow onion
  7. 1 Candiced tomatoes
  8. Provolone, Gouda, Parmesan, and mozzarella shredded and mix
  9. You can substitute the cheese for whatever you enjoy
  10. Parsley
  11. Salt and pepper
  12. Chili flakes optional

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Finely Dice the yellow onion and mix with italian saisage. There are two way to cook the Italian sausage in a pan or in the oven, I like to cook it in the oven pressed think into a pan at 365 for approx. 30 min or until cooked.

  2. 2

While meat is cooking dice peppers and put into a saucepan with a tablespoon of olive oil. Saute for 2 minutes just to sweeten lightly.

  3. 3

Drain the can of diced tomatoes and add to the peppers. Bring heat to medium to reduce slightly. About 5 minutes

  4. 4

Add jar of pasta sauce and simmer

  5. 5

Cook pasta Al dente, drain and run under cold water to stop them from over cooking, the pasta will finish in the oven with the sauce.

  6. 6

Add the sauce and meat to the pasta and mix well.

  7. 7

Add contents to cassarole dish and cover with cheese mix

  8. 8

Put into oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until cheese is nice and melty. I like to put the broiler on high for a couple of minutes to put a nice golden brown on the cheese. Remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley.

  9. 9

    Enjoy! 😋
