Ingredients

  1. 1 cupfinely ground rice (about 180 grams)
  2. 8 cupswater (about 1.9 liters)
  3. 2 tablespoonscaraway seeds
  4. 2 tablespoonsground cinnamon
  5. 1 1/2 cupssugar (about 300 grams, adjust to taste)
  6. Raw nuts:
  7. Walnuts
  8. Almonds
  9. Pistachios
  10. Finely shredded coconut

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the ground rice, water, caraway seeds, cinnamon, and sugar in a pot over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until it thickens.

    To check if it's ready, pour a little onto a plate and tilt it. If it runs, continue cooking until thicker.

    Soak the nuts and peel them.

  4. 4

    Pour the meghli into serving cups and top with shredded coconut. Garnish with the remaining nuts just before serving.
