
Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings

I came up with this after combining a few different versions and making personal adjustments. Feel free to adjust amounts as you see fit. I tend to make mine a bit spicier.

Add chicken, water, milk, bouillon cubes, broth, cream of chicken, onion, pepper, salt, paprika, garlic, and cheyenne pepper to the crockpot (if using frozen chicken, use less water)

Set crockpot to 8 or 10 hours (Low heat)

When 2-4 hours remain shred the chicken to the desired size. At this point you can add carrots, corn, and peas if desired (you can add at the beginning also, but it makes little difference)

At 1-2 hours remaining, take biscuits and cut/tear into quarters. Place them in the crockpot, pushing them down a little. Homemade biscuit dough should be spooned in at desired size.

When the dumplings rise to the top, they are almost done. Wait for at least 15 minutes more.

Lastly, you may need to separate dumplings that have stuck together before you mix and serve.
