I found a new way to baking a cake and decided to try it out. I loved the outcome...so yummy! OOOh the smell...that's another story. Simply heavenly 😇😇

Grease and dust with flour your baking tin.

Grate your half piece of the dark chocolate to create chips and set aside.

Preheat your oven to 175C.

Sift your flour and set aside.

In a bowl, add your sugar and buttermilk. Whisk gently until smooth and dissolved.

Add baking soda and powder and whisk until dissolved. Set aside for 5mins and you will see bubbles have formed.

Add your oil and whisk.

Add your flour a half and half of the chocolate chips and mix gently with a spatula.

Add the other half of the flour and chocolate chips and mix gently ensuring no lumps are left and your batter is to a good consistency.

Pour your batter to the baking tin and set in your oven.

Bake for 45mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let it cool for 10mins.

Remove from tin and let it cool completly.

Using a kitchen sieve, sieve your icing sugar on top of the cake.

Do a final touch with the other half piece of dark chocolate.

You can see the chips in the cake and the entangled smell of vanilla and chocolate is heavenly!
