Ingredients

  • 5Dry Fish cut into medium size pieces
  • 4brinjal
  • 2 tbspMustard oil
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  • 2 tspGinger garlic crushed
  • 1large Onion chopped
  • 5-6green chillies slit
  • 1Large tomato chopped
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspChilli powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspCumin powder
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Take the Brinjal and make four cuts on them. Soak in water and keep aside till further use.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them crackle.

  3. 3

    Add ginger garlic and fry for a min. Add the onions and fry till it turns soft.

  4. 4

    Add tomatoes a s fry till mushy. Add the masala powders and fry for a min.

  5. 5

    Add the dry fish pieces and stir well with the masalas. Cover the pan and fry on low heat stirring frequently for about 10 mins.

  6. 6

    Add the the Brinjal and stir well together. Cover the pan and further cook for 10-15 mins on low heat stirring frequently till the Brinjal becomes soft and cooked.
