Ingredients

  1. 1Papad(urad dal /chana dal)
  2. 1Onion small finely chopped
  3. 1/2Tomato finely chopped
  4. 1/4Cucumber finely chopped (optional)
  5. leavesFresh coriander
  6. 1/4 tspChat masala
  7. 1/4 tspRed chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tspCumin powder
  9. 1 tspLemon juice
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tspOil for shallow fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in pan for deep frying.

  2. 2

    Slide a papad in pan and fry it for few seconds.. till it crisp.

  3. 3

    With a tong remove the papad from oil, place the papad on paper napkin towel so that excess oil is absorbed.

  4. 4

    Take a bowl and mix chopped onions, tomatoes, and cucumber add salt, chilli powder, chat masala, cumin powder and lemon juice in it mix it well.

  5. 5

    Place the papad on a plate and add ready masala on it.. Sprinkle chopped coriander on it.

  6. 6

    Serve the masala papad immediately or else they turn soggy.
