Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupsabudana washed and soaked 2-3 hours
  2. 1 kgmilk
  3. 1/2 cupsugar /per your taste
  4. 2bananas
  5. 7-8saffron strands soaked in the milk
  6. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  7. 7-8cashews cut into pieces
  8. 7-8raisins
  9. 6-7almonds cut into small pieces
  10. 6-7Pistachios

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan. After a boil add soaked sabudana in it and stir constantly on low heat.otherwise milk can be burnt.

    Cut the Bananas into small pieces Keep aside. cut the dry fruits into small pieces

  3. 3

    When sabudana gets cook then in boiling milk add saffron milk and stir it.Now add chopped cashews and almonds.stir continuously on low flame till dense.

    Add sugar and mashed banana.and mix well.add cardamom powder and cook it for 2,3 minutes or until it thickens.

    Now turn off the flame.Let it cool.

  6. 6

    Before serving garnish the payasam with chopped dry fruits and some pieces of banana.
