Remove any bones and skin from the cod. Ask your fishmonger to do this if possible.

Cut the cod into pieces, then season with salt and a little garlic powder.

Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, heat a skillet with plenty of oil over medium heat.

Dredge the cod pieces in flour, then dip them in beaten egg.

Fry over medium heat so the inside cooks through without burning the outside.

Place the fried cod on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 7
Serve with a salad and enjoy cod season!
