Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupMoong dal
  2. 1 1/2 inch pieceGinger
  3. 3Green chillies roughly chopped
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  6. 1/4 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  7. Oil to shallow fry
  8. 3/4 cupGreen chutney
  9. 2 cupsDesirable chopped fruits

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak moong dal in three cups of water for about half an hour. Drain and grind with ginger, green chillies,asafoetida and salt to a smooth batter.

  2. 2

    Add red chilli powder and mix well. Heat a tawa and grease it. Spread a ladle full of batter to a thin disc. Drizzle a little oil and cook on medium heat till the underside is done.

  3. 3

    Carefully flip over, drizzle a little oil and cook till the other side is done too.Remove from tawa and keep in plate.

  4. 4

    Spread chopped fruits in the centre of cheela.(I have added grapes,strawberries,pomegratee seeds)and tie with green onions leaves by making shape of bags.

  5. 5

    Serve by garnishing healthy moong cheela fruits bag full of nutrients and vitamins....innovative,tasty and healthy.
