A popular road side snack of Tamilnadu. Very tasty and tempting snack to munch with evening coffee or tea.
Steps

Wash and Soak the dals and rice for two hours.

Drain the water, add salt, giner and red chillies.
- 3
Grind to coarse thick batter in the consistency of roti dough.
- 4
Add the chopped greens, green chillies, asafoetida powder and mix well.
- 5
Heat oil in a pan. take lemon size rough balls and drop them in to oil one by one.

Fry to golden brown in medium flame and serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
