Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsama or barn millet
  2. 1/4 cupghee or clarified butter
  3. 2 cupfresh orange juice
  4. 1/2 cuppowdered badam or almonds
  5. 3-4elaichi or cardamom
  6. 1 cuppowdered gud or jaggery
  7. 3-1/2 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Dry roast sama for 5-7 minutes in a pan.

    Add ghee to a pan
    Roast for another 2-3 mins after adding 3-4 cardamoms and crushed almonds.

    Add jaggery and mix well.Cook for 2 minutes.
    Add orange juice and water and let it boil on a medium flame

    Keep on stirring the mix, till the water evaporates and a semi-solid consistency is achieved,
    Turn off the heat
    Serve hot.
