I was inspired by deep fried shrimp patties in shrimp burgers and came up with these. There's no need to dredge them in flour and eggs; save time by using a thin coat of panko! They taste great as-is, but you can serve them with tartar sauce or mayonnaise if you like. Recipe by makoto cookpad.japan -

Banana Lumpia - Simple Hawaiian Dining Banana Lumpia - Simple Hawaiian Dining
History: One day my husband brought these cooking bananas home from the store. He didn't know that they existed and was surprisingly happy to find them. All I could think to use them for was this recipe that I had tasted in Hawaii and on Cebu Island. I remembered it because I watched someone make these for us on the beach. The trick is to keep adjusting the heat when frying. These banana lumpia turned out even less sweet than I thought they would, so if you have a sweet tooth, I recommend increasing the amount of sugar when wrapping these. I used brown cane sugar. Our Family's Sweet Potato Croquettes Our Family's Sweet Potato Croquettes
My mother used to make these quite often. At my parent's place, they preferred ground chicken, but our family prefers ground pork because my husband loves heavy meals.Try these out with ground chicken as well -- they'll turn out tasty and light. If you use katakuriko (corn starch), you'll be able to shape them without difficulty. Even children can help you because it's so easy to shape. The heart-shaped ones were made by my son. Your kids can make mini-sized croquettes that'll be perfect for bentos! If you make a lot and freeze before frying, they'll save you time the next time you want to make them. Fresh Spring Rolls with a Delicious Sauce Fresh Spring Rolls with a Delicious Sauce
I love fresh spring rolls but I'm not too fond of sweet chili sauce...so I combined my favorite seasoning ingredients to make this delicious dipping sauce.Even people who don't like vegetables will eat them served like this, so it's a great way to try out all different sorts of vegetables. When rehydrating the wrappers, it's best if you take them out while they are still a bit firm, since the moisture in the wrapped vegetables will soften them some more and make them just right. If they are still too hard try spraying them with water using a mister or spray. You can also try lightly brushing some water on them. Recipe by Taberunba cookpad.japan -
Easy Crunchy Okara Crackers Easy Crunchy Okara Crackers
I want to eat snacks even when I'm on a diet, so I came up with this recipe because I can make them easily, they are inexpensive to make, healthy, and packed with fiber.Use seasonings of your choice, and adjust the amounts of the seasonings to taste. They will be crunchy if you microwave them until they are light brown. If you don't heat them enough, the texture will be soft, not crunchy. If you overheat them, they will burn. Open the door of the microwave several times while microwaving the crackers to get rid of the steam. Recipe by Nekoruru cookpad.japan -
