Ingredients

  1. 1potato large, steamed or boiled & sliced
  2. 1onion medium sized, sliced
  3. 1tomato large, sliced
  4. 1cucumber medium sized, sliced
  5. 8 slicesBREAD
  6. For green chutney:
  7. 1/2-3/4 tspchaat masala or any other spice powder & herbs
  8. 1/2-3/4 tsproasted cumin powder (optional)
  9. 4-6 tspbutter (softened or melted)
  10. 2 cupscoriander leaves
  11. 2 tbspdalia or fried gram or coconut (optional)
  12. 1 tspcumin or jeera
  13. 2green chilies hot, (adjust as needed)
  14. 2garlic cloves or lahsun, small
  15. 1/4-1/2 inchginger or adrak (optional)
  16. 1-1 1/2 tbspLemon juice or as needed

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend all the ingredients to make green chutney. It must be thick and not runny. Set aside.

    Sprinkle a generous amount of chaat masala and cumin powder.

  2. 2

    Boil or steam potatoes until just cooked without making them very soft.

  3. 3

    Slice the remaining veggies along with boiled and cooled potatoes.

  4. 4

    How to make grilled sandwich
    Butter each slice of bread on both the sides.
    Spread the green chutney as needed.
    Place the veggies – potatoes, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and then capsicum and Cover with another slice and grill it.
