Ingredients

  1. Filling
  2. 1.1 lbsground beef (about 500 grams)
  3. 2medium onions
  4. Spices: black pepper, salt
  5. 1 tablespoonvegetable oil
  6. 1small cup chopped walnuts
  7. Kibbeh Ingredients
  8. 3 cupsbulgur wheat (about 480 grams)
  9. 3 cupsboiling water (about 710 ml)
  10. 3/4 cupolive oil or vegetable oil (about 180 ml)
  11. 1 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour (about 190 grams)
  12. Spices:
  13. Cumin
  14. Mixed spices
  15. Ground red pepper
  16. Salt
  17. 1onion, chopped
  18. 1 slicesandwich bread, soaked in water

Steps

    Prepare the filling.

  2. 2

    Soak the bulgur in hot water and cover for 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Knead the mixture well until it forms a cohesive dough.

  4. 4

    After an hour, the bulgur will have absorbed the water. Add the spices, grated onion, olive oil, flour, and soaked bread. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Shape the dough into discs using your fingers, fill with the meat mixture, and fry in hot, deep oil.
