Steps

First wash tuar/Arhar daal & rice together for 2 to 3 times with water.

Heat the pressure cooker add washed daal & rice together add turmeric powder & salt & water for boiling purpose cover the lid & take 2 whistle in low flame.

After 2 whistle off the flame & wait few minutes let them cool & pressure cooker can open easily if required through spoon or hand blender make it soft texture.

Meanwhile we prepare Tadka for Khichdi which gives good taste & colour too.

Heat the pan add ghee in it when ghee is melted add cumin seeds saute for a minute add asafoetida & dry red chillies mix well add red chilli powder saute for a minute & immediately turn into boiled daal & rice & cover it for good fragrance.

Now mix tadka in khichdi give a boil again if required add some salt & spread some ghee too.

Garnish with Fresh corrainder leaves & served hot with curd or some salad.

Healthy tasty khichdi is ready.
