Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes

Heat the milk in a large pan on low flame. Stir occasionally.

Meanwhile grind the rice coarsely without warer. Keep aside.

Boil the milk till it becomes thick. Stir occasionally. It will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Now add coarsely grinded rice to the milk. Stir well. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

Now add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron mix well till the milk becomes thick and creamy.

Switch off the gas. Transfer the phirni in a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped dryfruits and serve chilled.
