Hyderabadi Khichadi

This khichadi made using masoor dal and rice.
Steps

Soak rice and masoor dal for 30 minutes

Heat oil and one tbsp of ghee in pan

Add all whole spices and curry leaves and let them crackle

Add onion and green chilli and sauté it for 3 minutes

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it

Add water and let it boil

Add salt, termeric powder, cumin coriander powder and mix well

Add red chilli powder and one tbsp of ghee and cook for 2 minutes

Add soaked rice and masoor dal and mix properly

Cover with lead and let it cook for 10 minutes and stir it occasionally

Open lead and cook for 2 minutes

Garnish it with roasted cashews and fired onion and serve it with roasted papad
