Kadhai Paneer;A Very famous North Indian recipe,liked by one and all is easy to prepare.It is very tasty and Paneer and Capsicum being its main ingredients it is nutritious as well.Goes well with Chapati or Naan.
Steps

Dice paneer into big cubes.Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it.Shallow fry the paneer cubes.Keep them aside.

Make a fine paste of Onion and tomatoes and roughly chop the capsicum.Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it.Add cumin seeds.Add grated ginger garlic and chopped chillies.Saute well.

Now add onion paste and a pinch of salt.Salt helps onion to cook faster.Saute till golden brown.Add tomato paste,salt,turmeric powder and red chilli powder.Cook nicely on low medium flame till oil starts to separate.

Now add capsicum and 1 cup water.Cover the lid and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low medium flame till capsicum is half cooked.

Add Paneer cubes,garam masala and 1/2 cup water.Again cover the lid and let it cook for another 5-7 minutes till you get nice medium thick consistency.Transfer to the serving bowl and enjoy with chapati or naan.
