Ingredients

  1. 400 gparsley, about 2 bunches
  2. 1/2 cupmint leaves, about 1/4 bunch
  3. 3 large tomatoes, ripe, cut into small cubes
  4. 1 large onions, or 1/2 bunch of green onions
  5. 3 juice of 1 lemon
  6. 1/2 cupolive oil
  7. 1/4 cupfine bulgur
  8. 2 tablespoonspomegranate syrup
  9. 1/4 teaspoonsweet pepper
  10. 1/4 teaspooncinnamon
  11. salt to taste

    Wash the bulgur in cold water, drain and put in a large plate.

    Chop the parsley and mint very finely and wash them. Put in a strainer and keep aside.

    Cut the onion into heavy small cubes and rub with sweet pepper, a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon olive oil. Put aside.

    Mix all the vegetables and bulgur together.

  5. 5

    Right before serving, add the lemon juice, pomegranate syrup, the rest of olive oil, and cinnamon.Mix very well.Add salt according to taste

    Serve immediatly with lettuce or cabbage leaves.

i never liked tabbouleh until i lived outside lebanon... then i started missing it.
it is an amazing salad, really. You can have it as a full meal for dinner... delicious with lettuce leaves.
I have never prepared it, but this recipe looks easy i will give it a try and let you know!!
