Plantains are rich in nutrients and dietary fibre.They are also rich in potassium and in Vitamin A and C .They are good antioxident as well.(Plantains are  not to be confused with bananas.Plantains are bigger than bananas and hard to peel. Raw  plantains are  used like potatoes or vegetables )They are specially  good for making chips Well ripe plantains  are usually roasted in ghee or baked .Now  I tried  a different snack  and it is really a delicious and healthy  snack

Ingredients

  • 1Ripe plaintain (medium size)-
  • 1Egg -
  • 1/2 cupBread crumbs-
  • 1 cupOil-
  • 1/4 cupKismiss
  • 1/4 cupcoconut scraped
  • 1 tspcardamon cumin seed (POWDERED) and powder
  • 1/2 cupRava -
  • 3 tbspsMaida milk sugar , powder,,each
  • 1 tspBaking powder -

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the banana,smash it and mix it with the above flour mix, coconut,kismiss and spices set and keep aside for 10 minutes

  2. 2

    Make small balls of the mix  with the hand and immediately dip each  ball in the yellow of the egg and cover with the bread crumbs. Now press the ball and form desired  shapes

  3. 3

    Now pour the oil in a frying pan and fry each  croquette  . Make the fire slow  and turn both sides.Ensure that both sides are well coooked Take care that it is not over burnt. Alternatively  it can also be baked after applying ghee  in the baking tray. Yummy snack is ready
