Steps

Soak chana dal and rice for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Drain the water from the soaked dal. In a mixer coarse grind the chana dal,rice,green chilli,red chilli and coriander leaves.Dont add water while grinding.

Transfer the grinded dal to a wide bowl.Now add little finely chopped curry leaves,coriander leaves,hing and salt.Mix well.I prepare this on all festive days so I dont add onions.You can add little finely chopped onions if you want.

Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying ambode.Take a beetal leaf on your palm and place a small ball of this dal mix and prepare flat shape ambode.

Carefully put ambode in hot oil and deep fry it on medium flame.Fry till it turns brown.So that they become Crispy.Transfer it on tissue placed above the stainer.

Finish frying all ambode in same method.

Enjoy the mouthwatering crispy ambode.
