Ingredients

30-45 min
3 servings
  • 1.5 cupRice, soaked for 1 hour
  • as required Water
  • For marination:-
  • 1 cupCurd
  • 250 gmsMushrooms chopped
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • Pinchorange food colour
  • 1 tbspJeera powder / cumin powder
  • 1 tbspCoriander powder-
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspKasuri methi
  • leavesas required Mint
  • leavesas required Coriander
  • 2Potato diced
  • Rice
  • 2 cupsWater
  • as required Desi ghee
  • 2Cardamom
  • 1Star anise
  • 1 stickDalchini
  • 2Cloves
  • 1 tspJeera / cumin
  • as per tatse Salt
  • Making Biryani
  • as neededOil
  • 2Green chilli in slits
  • 2Green cardamom
  • 1sick Dalchini
  • 2Cloves
  • 1Onion- sliced
  • 1Tomato finely chopped
  • Marination
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • as neededSaffron milk
  • 1/2 bowlFried onion
  • 2 tbspGinger garlic paste
  • leavesas required Mint
  • leavesas required Coriander
  • Boondi raita
  • 1/2 cupBoondi
  • 1small bowl whisked Curd
  • as per tatse Salt
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder

Steps

30-45 min
  1. 1

    For marination:firstly add all ing in mixing bowl and mix well.keep this marination for 30 min.

  2. 2

    Boil rice by adding all ingredients cook rice only 75 % not full and cool rice.

  3. 3

    Next in a pan start making biryani add oil,cardamom,green chilli,onion cook for 5 min till it changes colour next add tomato cook till it becomes soft and mushy next add marination and mix well and cover it with lid for 5-10 min till potato cooks next add rice,fried onion,saffron milk,mint leaves,coriander leaves cover the pan with aluminium foil for dum cover with lid for 10 min on low or medium flame and switch off flame and open pan after 20 min.

    Make raita with all ingredients and pour in bowl.sprinkle red chilli powder

  5. 5

    Serve hot.Garnish with coriander leaves.
