Kaimati
Its as easy as can be... and tastier than ever
Steps
- 1
Mix the dry ingredients: yeast, flour, cardamon, sugar, salt.
- 2
Then pour in the yogurt slowly incorporating the dry ingredients. Hand beat the mixture for about 5minutes. The mixture should be thick but soft enough to pour from the fingers. Then let it rise for about 1hour.
- 3
When the mixture rises. Fry the dough in little balls until slightly brown. Let the heat not be too hot so I can cool all the way through. In a large sufuria boil one cup of sugar and half a cup of water. When the sugar is sticky reduce the heat pour in the kaimatis and toss to get an even coating.
- 4
Place them in a tray to cool and viola! Your kaimatis’ are ready
