Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoonvanilla extract
  2. 2 tablespoonsroom temperature water
  3. 1 tablespoonground cinnamon
  4. 1 tablespoonbaking powder
  5. 1/2 tablespoonbaking soda
  6. 3/4 cupregular milk
  7. 1 cupwhole wheat flour
  8. 1 1/2 cupsoats, you can grind them or use them as flakes (I used flakes)
  9. 3 tablespoonsmelted butter
  10. 1/2 cupbrown or white sugar (you can use a sugar substitute)
  11. 1 cupmashed ripe bananas (regular bananas)
  12. 2 tablespoonshoney

Steps

    Mix all the dry ingredients.

  2. 2

    Once they are mixed, add the liquids and continue mixing until everything is well incorporated.

  3. 3

    You don't need to grease the pan because the bread won't stick, as the butter in the recipe prevents sticking.

  4. 4

    Note, the honey and water are for glazing the bread. Mix the honey and water and brush the bread while it's still hot.

  5. 5

    You can add nuts, raisins, coconut, whatever you like. I kept it simple and it turned out delicious.

  6. 6

    Pour everything into the pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
