Crispy in an Oven French Toast Crispy in an Oven French Toast
A recipe for oven-baked French toast was on display in a bakeware shop near my house, but the recipe used such a tiny amount of liquid. So I modified the recipe in such a way that I thought it would suit my family's tastes better. There's usually no rings free on the hob in the morning as everyone's making their packed lunches, so recipes like this that don't require a frying pan are so handy. Pictured is the recipe made with Danish bread. With this amount of egg mixture you can soak 4 slices of an 8 slice loaf of bread, but please shorten the baking time slightly. The egg mixture will probably not be enough to do 4 slices of an 6 loaf bread, so add one more egg to ensure the bread gets saturated. Note that this will result in a stronger egg taste and the overall result will be less sweet. Recipe by nemarin cookpad.japan -

Classic French Toast Classic French Toast
Warm, crispy toast with a cinnamon-sugar topping and some Quebec maple syrup. Whipped cream, fresh fruit, or fruit preserves are excellent additions to this sweet breakfast. Adjust the level of sugar to your liking. You can also make it savoury by omitting the sweet stuff and going with herbs! Try rosemary and paprika, and grease the pan with olive oil instead of butter. Italian seasoning works too.Kit
