Moong Dal Halwa

Soak moong dal for at least 5-4 hours.

After 4-5 hours grinder it in a grinder. Don’t grind it in a smooth paste. Grind it granulated.

Add ghee in a pan(I used homemade ghee). Then add grinded dal in it.

Turn the heat to slow and cook dal in a ghee till it start giving nice aroma or turn golden brown in colour. It take about 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile add few strands of saffron in hot milk.

Now add milk to it along with the saffron milk. At this point you can bring the flame 🔥 to medium and again cook it till al the milk is absorbed by dal and again it become granulated. It take another 15-20 minutes.

Now finally add sugar to it and cardamom powder. Put the flame to medium-low and keep stirring constantly. Let all the sugar syrup dry. As soon as the dal mixture absorb sugar, f ghee start oozing out. Cook for another 5/6 minutes.

Goes off the flame. Add nuts to it. Your moons dal halwa is ready to serve😊. ENJOY!!!
