Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoonvanilla extract
  2. 2 cupscorn kernels (about 300 grams)
  3. 1 cupmilk (250 ml)
  4. 4eggs
  5. 3/4 cupsugar (about 150 grams)
  6. 7 ouncesunsalted butter, at room temperature (about 200 grams)
  7. 2 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour (about 300 grams)
  8. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder

    Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. 2

    Grease and flour a 9-inch (20 cm) round baking pan.

  3. 3

    Sift the flour with the baking powder. Set aside.

  4. 4

    In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy.

  5. 5

    Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  6. 6

    Blend the milk with the corn kernels and vanilla extract. Gradually pour this mixture into the bowl with the butter, alternating with the sifted flour, and mix until you have a smooth batter.

  7. 7

    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
