Firstly soak dal for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes take a cooker and put dal, water, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder in it and cook it for 1 or 2 whistles. Then turn off the gas.

Take a kadai and heat the ghee in the kadai and put cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida and when they start to crackle and now add green chilli, ginger and garlic paste in it and saute it well.

Then put the cooked dal in the same kadai and mix it well. Add coriander leaves and mix it well and turn off the gas. now eat with the food items of your choice like churma, chapatti or rice.
