Ingredients

  1. 1 kgBeef/mutton/chicken
  2. 750 gBasmati RICE (washed and soaked)
  3. 2 tbspGinger garlic past
  4. 1 Onion slice cut and fry
  5. 1 cupOil
  6. 1 cupPlain yogurt
  7. 1 packetShan pilau Biryani masala
  8. 1/4 teaspoonYOLLOW food colour
  9. Water as required
  10. Whole gram masala
  11. 1Taz patt
  12. 1 stickDarchni
  13. 1Badiyan ka phool
  14. 3Sab Elaichi
  15. 4Long
  16. Salt as your require

Steps

  1. 1

    Add oil, meat,ginger garlic past, Shan pilau Biryani masala and water(Beef,Mutton 2 cup, chicken 1cup).Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender (about 1 cup of stock should remain in the pot).

    Stir-in yogurt add meat and keep aside.

  3. 3

    In 3 liter of boiled water, add whole gram masala, 2 tbsp salt and soaked rice. Boil rice until 3/4 cooked. Remove and drain thoroughly.

    Spread half rice in a pot and Pour meat curry over it.Top with remaining rice.sprinkle food colour if desired.

  5. 5

    Fry golden brown onion pour evenly over rice.cover and cook on low heat until rice is tender (5-10 minutes).Mix before serving.
