Ingredients

  1. 1/3 cuphoney
  2. 1/4 cupsoy sauce, reduced sodium recommended
  3. 3 clovesgarlic, minced
  4. 1 tsp.minced fresh ginger (or 1/4 tsp. dried)
  5. 1 lb.small uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  6. 2 tsp.olive oil
  7. 2 tsp.cornstarch
  8. 2 tsp.water

    Whisk the honey, garlic, soy sauce and ginger (if using) in a medium bowl.

  2. 2

    Place the shrimp and half of the marinade in a large Ziploc bag or Tupperware with lid. Give them a quick stir and place in the fridge for a minimum of 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cover and place the rest of the marinade separately in the fridge for later use. Mix the cornstarch and water into a small bowl and set it aside.

  4. 4

    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp into the skillet and discard the used marinade.

  5. 5

    Cook shrimp on one side until cooked through...this only takes a couple of minutes. Then flip the shrimp and pour the unused marinade in the skillet. Stir in the cornstarch slurry.

  6. 6

    Once the shrimp is completely cooked through and no longer opaque, it is ready to serve.

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
