Ingredients

  1. 1 cup- cooked rice
  2. 1/2 cupPeeled grated raw mango(according to taste)
  3. 3-4 tbspeanuts
  4. 1/2 tbsudad dal
  5. 2-3dry red chilli
  6. 2-4Vertically split green chilli
  7. 10-15curry leaves
  8. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  9. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  10. Pinchasafoetida
  11. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  12. 1 tspsalt(as required)
  13. 1 tbsOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Add grated mango and salt to the hot rice. Mix well with a fork.

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in a small pan. When the oil is hot add peanuts and fry well. Add this peanuts to the cooked rice.

  3. 3

    Now add udad dal to the hot oil. Then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Add red chilli, green chilli, curry leaves fry for few seconds. Switch off the gas.

  5. 5

    Now add turmeric powder mix well. Add this oil to the cooked rice mixture. Mix all together well.

  6. 6

    Mamidikaya pulihora is ready to serve.
