Ingredients

  1. 2 cupquick oats
  2. 3/4 cupmoong daal
  3. 4 cup water
  4. 1 teaspoon or as per tastesalt
  5. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric
  6. 1/2 teaspoon or any oil olive oil
  7. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  8. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  9. 1/4 teaspoonasafoetida
  10. 7-8 curry leaves
  11. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli
  12. as neededVeggies of your choice

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pressure cooker put some oil once heat up add cumin seed, mustard seed, asafoetida and curry leaves and vegetables of your choice

  2. 2

    Add the oats and yellow moong dal and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.

  3. 3

    Add 4 cups of hot water and salt, and other spices mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
    Serve immediately with fat-free yogurt.
