Ingredients

  1. 1 cupCoconut bits -
  2. Roasted gram dal - 1/2 cup
  3. 3 podsGarlic -
  4. Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
  5. 2 tspSalt -
  6. Water - 2 tbsp (as required)
  7. 2 tspOil -
  8. 1 tspMustard seeds -
  9. 1 tspUrad dal -
  10. Curry leaves - 1 string

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixer jar put the fresh coconut bits, roasted gram dal, garlic, tamarind salt and water. Grind them well.

  2. 2

    In a tempering pan add oil, when hot add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and when it splutters add it the grinded coconut mixture.

  3. 3

    Mix well and serve with idly, dosa, pongal, vada etc...
