Growing up I totally hated coleslaw, until I started making it myself in a totally non-traditional way. Great by itself, on Burgers, or, my personal favorite, on pulled pork tacos.

In my family we LOVE pulled pork sandwiches and we needed a slaw to go with it! So we came up with this delicous slaw!

I love Tropical Smoothie's Kale Apple Slaw and found a copycat recipe by Marjory Pilley.

I had some vegetables given to me that I needed to use up before it all went bad. I LOVE Cole Slaw and I basically had the guts for it. I had mixed carrots (yellow, orange, purple) and a smaller head of cabbage and finally some onions. I chose to use white, regular ones. Finally I came up with the sauce for it by reviewing several recipes and creating a conglomerate. Hope you try it and like it.

I love to make different types of slaw living here in the south. Different types go better with different kinds of meat, of course. I like the horseradish flavor with a beef main course such as brisket, short ribs, or beef ribs. This slaw literally gets devoured and I am left with zero leftovers every time. #mycookbook

It turns out the grass of New Earth is Applegrass and smells, according to Rose, quite lovely.I don’t know if applegrass actually tastes lovely, but I’m choosing to believe it does. That belief led me to this recipe for Applegrass Slaw. I suggest you pair it with regular, classic Earth pulled pork. Or hot dogs. Or hamburgers. Whatever you like. It’s lovely and crisp with a sweet-tart flavor that will stand up to just about anything it accompanies.

This recipe was inspired by Skunkmonkey101’s Warm Red Cabbage Salad. I modified it a little and added a sweet onion. Very tasty side.

Tweaked my grandma's recipe to suit both myself and my husband, who grew up with sweet slaw. To me Cole Slaw should NOT be sweet...love that vinegar tang! This is a happy medium that doesn't shirk on flavor.

Made this yummy salad with some left over slaw I had and ingredients on hand. Perfect for a summer side salad.
