Ingredients

  • 2 lbsboneless beef
  • 1 cupChana Daal (Lentils)
  • 10-12Red Button Chilies
  • 1 TBSfennel seed (Saunf)
  • 1-1/2 TBSwhole Coriander seeds
  • 2 TBSwhole Cumin seeds
  • 1-1/2 TBSBlack peppercorns
  • 1-2Bay leaves
  • 3-4Black Cardamom
  • 1 TBSwhole cloves
  • 1 1/2" piece of cinnamon stick
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2medium Onions
  • 6-7Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 (1 bunch)Cilantro
  • 4-5Green Chilies
  • 2eggs
  • Oil For frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the lentils with one cup of water until tender but still retain the shape.

  2. 2

    Add remaining ingredients (except cilantro, green chilies, oil and eggs)in a pot with some water about 1-1/2 cups and cook until the meat is tender and all the water has evaporated. Let it cool

  3. 3

    Mix with the boiled and cooled Chana lentils and grind in a food processor until fine paste.

  4. 4

    Now add chopped cilantro, chopped green chilies and and 1- 2 eggs (depending on the texture of the mixture.

  5. 5

    If wet use 1 egg and if dry use 2 eggs)
    Mix thoroughly.

  6. 6

    Shape the Kebabs and deep fry.
    Enjoy....
