Gulab Jamun
Steps

Boil sugar; water; cardamom together until liquid reduces to 2 cups. Add food color and keep this syrup on slow heat.

Mix together milk; semolina; maida and baking powder. Now add ghee and rub with fingers.

Add egg and mix with hands. Mix well so the mixture becomes a soft dough.

Now slightly grease your hands and make small balls. Deep fry on medium flame. Keep turning continously to get nice even color.

Once balls are brown enough; take out from oil and drop in sugar syrup. Cover the pan and keep on slow flame for 10-15 minutes.

(Keep the balls small as they swell during frying and soaking) now Gulab Jamun ready.
