Potol diye Rui Macher Jhal

This is an authentic bengali dish.Fishes are cooked with indian spices and adding pointed gourd to the curry enhances the taste even more.I got to know about this recipe from our didi who comes to our home daily to play with our little munchkin.
And indetail didi helped me to cook this dish.She is bengali and bengali's love fish curry like anything.And this is one of the famous dish among other all Rohu fish curries.

Put the pan and add oil.Once oil getting heated up.Add salt and turmeric powder to fish,marinate for 15mints and then deep fry the fish.

Once the fish pieces are fried.Keep them aside

Clean and cut the pointed gourd and potato into medium size and fry it in the leftover oil.

Now add oil to the pan and put bayleaf,cardmom,clove to it.once it oil is heated up add chopped onion.satute it till it gets brown.

Add ginger garlic paste,tomato.and all the spice powder and satute it till the oil comes out from Spice mixture.

Now once the Masala is cooked and pointed gourd to it.and mix the mixture properly and cook it for 2mint.

At the end,add the fried fishes to it.and cook it adding 2cups of water.

Once the curry is ready with required amount of Gravy.Serve it with Rice.and enjoy ur delicious meal
