Valor Papdi | Spicy Flat Beans

#greenveg vegetable spicy flat beans papdi also known as flat green beans is traditionally made in Gujarati Cusine. Strong flavour of Carom seeds and combination of garlic and jaggery makes it unique in it's own. I have made this today with my own twist of strong nutty flavour of coconut and sesame seeds which gives it a distinct punch in every bite. Just did an experiment with unusual combinations and turned out to be extra delicious.

Wash and dry the flat beans. Trim the ends and sides of flat beans and chop in to small peices. Keep aside.

Heat oil, add carom seeds and let it splutter, add ginger garlic paste, potatoes and green beans.

Add salt, turmeric powder, water and cover to cook for 7-8 mins till potatoes softens.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, raw mango powder, coconut, sesame seeds, and jaggery.

Cover and cook till oil seperates.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
