Steps
- 1
To make the dough, combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl: flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- 2
Using your hands or a spatula, create a well in the middle of the flour mixture.
Pour the milk and melted butter into the middle. Mix with spatula until it becomes a crumbly consistency. - 3
Transfer the dough to a pastry board or tabletop sprinkled with flour. Knead the dough with your hands until all ingredients are combined and u will get a smooth dough. It will take aprox 10 mins. Divide the dough into 2 portions.
- 4
In one portion mix Spinach puree. Knead this for 1 more min. It will be little sticky, u can dust flour and knead it. Keep another portion as it is. Cover and keep both dough for 15 mins minimum.
- 5
Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, green chilli & ginger paste.Fry little. Then add mashed green peas, crumbled paneer, salt, sugar, garam masala. Cook for 1 min on low flame by covering it. Add lemon juice. Switch off and let it cool.
- 6
Make equal size balls out of both types of doughs. Roll each in equal size rectangular roti. Apply green chutney over plain roll.
- 7
Then spread some stuffing over chutney. Then place one green rectangular roll over this. Seal all sides and cut this (joined from 1 end),like in the picture shown👇
- 8
Make braids. Then rollit from back side, making a round bun like the picture.
- 9
Preheat the oven for 10 mins at 180°c. Keep all the buns in a oven proof dish. Brush the buns with milk and sprinkle some red chilli flakes, sesame seeds.
- 10
Now bake these buns in preheated oven for 15/20mins or until done at 180°c. Enjoy these hot buns with green chutney or any chutney of your choice. Sooo crusty from outside and soft from inside. Healthy and tasty☺.
