Ingredients

20-25 mins
4 servings
  1. 100 gvermicelli/seviyan
  2. 100 gsugar
  3. 1 Tbsclarified butter/ghee
  4. 1/2 Tspcardamom powder
  5. as neededFinely chopped dry fruits of your choice (almonds, cashew, pistachio, raisins)
  6. 1generous pinch saffron strands

Steps

20-25 mins
  1. 1

    Take one tablespoon of clarified butter in a pan and roast vermicelli/seviyan till golden brown.

  2. 2

    Take another pan and start boiling the milk.

  3. 3

    Add vermicelli/seviyan into the milk and cook at low heat.

  4. 4

    Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron and finely chopped dry fruits as well. keep stirring the mixture.

  5. 5

    Vermicelli/seviyan will start absorbing the milk. you can regulate the consistency as per your liking. completely dried or semi-liquid.

  6. 6

    Garnish it with finely chopped almonds, pistachio, cashews as per your liking.

  7. 7

    Serve it hot, warm or chilled.
