Ingredients

3 - 4 servings
  1. For vegetable dumplings:
  2. 1 cupgrated cabbage
  3. 3/4 cupgrated carrot
  4. 1/2 cupthinly chopped french beans
  5. 1full thinly chopped green chilli
  6. 1/2 cupspring onion and stalk (togeather)
  7. 1 tbstiny chopped garlic
  8. 1 tbstiny chopped ginger
  9. Salt
  10. Black Pepper
  11. 3 tbsAll purpose flour/Maida
  12. 2 tbscornflour
  13. For schzewan sauce:
  14. 1 1/2 tbschopped garlic
  15. 1 1/2 tbschopped ginger
  16. 1/2 cupspring onion and stalk
  17. 1 tbssoy sauce
  18. 1 1/2 tbsvinegar
  19. Water
  20. 5 tbsRed Chilli paste (or unsweetened chilli sauce)
  21. Black pepper
  22. Salt
  23. Oil
  24. 1/4 cupchopped coriander leaves
  25. 3 tbschopped green chilli

Cooking Instructions

    Take a bowl and add all the vegetables from the ingredients list. Mix them well.

    Add cornflour and all purpose flour/maida. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Then add salt and pepper as per requirement. But dont add too much pepper.

  4. 4

    Mix all the ingredients well for the vegetable dumplings and add a little oil on your hands to make a dumpling balls. Dont add any water in the mixture.

    Note: if you dont add oil in your hands, while making dumplings, the mixture will stick on your hands and it will be difficult to make a proper dumpling ball.

    Heat oil in frying pan and fry the dumplings. And set aside on one plate after frying.

    For schzewan sauce: Heat a pan, add oil and fry garlic, ginger, green chilli and spring onion and stalk.

    Add 1 tbs soy sauce and 1 1/2 tbs vinegar. Add little water for sauce consistency.

  9. 9

    Then add chilli sauce/red chilli paste and salt and pepper. Mix well.

  10. 10

    Once the sauce is cooking on stove, reduce the flame and slowly add dumplings one by one. And mix slowly.

    Close the lid at slower flame for 5 mins.

    Garnish with spring onion and stalk. Or sesame seeds.
